Are you newly retired or perhaps a "Stay at Home Parent"? Maybe you are looking for a meaningful way to give back to your local healthcare system?
Washington Hospital Service League of Volunteers is looking for Adults and College volunteers to join in various opportunities at Washington Hospital Healthcare System.
Some of our amazing volunteer opportunities include:
- Social Rounding with our patients- training provided/required
- Dog Therapy- bring joy to our patients and staff
- Music volunteers to play our piano. Small instruments will be considered by volunteer services
- Lobby Greeters- Be the Friendly Professional Face of the Hospital
- Gift Shop- retail experience preferred
- Surgery Liaison waiting room volunteer
- Special Projects include helping in specific departments with clerical work, Vaccine Clinic, hospital events and seasonal projects
- Quilting Group- projects created for fundraisers
- Senior Crafts group- make baby bonnets and puppets for our patients

Opened in 1958, Washington Hospital Healthcare System has grown to include a 415-bed, acute-care hospital; Morris Hyman Critical Care Pavilion; Taylor McAdam Bell Neuroscience Institute; The Gamma Knife(r) Center; Washington Radiation Oncology Center; Washington Outpatient Surgery Center; Washington Outpatient Rehabilitation Center; Washington Institute for Joint Restoration and Research; Washington Township Medical Foundation; and Washington West, a complex which houses Washington Women’s Center, Outpatient Imaging Center, Sandy Amos RN Infusion Center, urgent care, UCSF - Washington Cancer Center, and additional outpatient hospital services and administrative facilities.
