Catholic Charities Atlanta is looking for a bilingual (Spanish & English), tech-savvy volunteer to assist the clients in our Safe Passages program. Their responsibilities would include:

• Assist and train clients to use technological devices such as cell phones and computers
• Assist and train clients to use technology services such as email, Zoom, and other platforms they may need in order to communicate with service providers
• Participate in training sponsored by InspirEDU: free of cost, one 1.5-hour training. This training program will teach you how to train our clients. InspirEDU would provide ongoing supervision for the volunteer and assist them with any training needs.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality with client information
• Cooperate with Safe Passages staff to best serve clients
• Communicate clearly, respectfully, and patiently with clients

The volunteer must :

• Be bilingual (Spanish and English)
• Have basic computer skills
• Have knowledge of platforms such as Zoom, Gmail, and Whatsapp
• Be available to volunteer during the evenings
• Live in the Metro Atlanta Area
• Have access to computer and phone in order to work with clients virtually if needed
• Complete a formal application process including paperwork, background check, orientation, and a 3-hour in-person VIRTUS Safe Environment Training

Safe Passages for Unaccompanied Children
The Progam ensures that children are released into a safe environment while they are in legal immigration removal proceedings. Provide post-release services to ensure that children have access to educational, health and mental health care, and legal services.
