"We cannot change the outcome, but we can affect the journey." - Ann Richardson

We have hospice patients who simply need a friend to give the gift of time. Companion volunteers offer kindness, attention, thoughtful support to hospice patients and family members at a time when it means the most. Volunteer patient visits are coordinated to find a time that works for both parties. Through their caring presence, volunteers help to ease loneliness and provide friendship, sometimes laughter, and a listening ear to remind folks that they are not alone on their end-of life-journey. Volunteers mean so much to our patients and families!

All volunteers are provided training and support to to help them feel comfortable in their work. Our volunteers are a valued part of the Hospice Team.

We have a current need for a companion volunteer in the Kansas City, Kansas area.
