Hospice Friends is a nonprofit charitable organization that provides peace, comfort, and care to anyone facing a life-threatening illness, to the frail elderly, those with chronic illness or disability and those with short-term medical need in Kittitas County. Hospice Friends promotes a caring community without affiliation to any specific religious orientation or political views.
Hospice Friends is seeking volunteer board members to fill several seats for the upcoming year. Board members serve a 3 year term and help guide the organization with strategic planning and oversee the financial health of the organization.
Our expectations for Board members involvement include: attendance at monthly Board meetings (the 3 rd Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m.); and additional hours outside of regular board meetings to serve on committees and help with fundraisers and special events. This includes, but not limited to, procuring sponsorships / items for events, and major donor requests.

Providing Compassionate Care for Hospice Patients and Families through our Volunteer Respite Care Program. We also provide Incontinence supplies, Nutritional supplies and durable medical equipment to our community families.
Description
Hospice Friends is a tax exempt, charitable non-profit organization under section 501(c) (3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. We have been providing services, supplies and equipment to the elderly and anyone facing a life threatening illness in Kittitas County since 1983. Hospice Friends was formed by a small group of dedicated individuals who believed that people are entitled to quality of life even when quantity is limited. We are funded by the generosity of individuals and businesses who support our mission.
