QCAP's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) is looking for volunteers who are interested in sharing their skills, talent and knowledge. As a volunteer, you will help low-income individuals and families file their tax returns free of charge. Both online and in-person volunteer opportunities are available. Any in-person services will follow strict COVID safety precautions. No prior experience necessary. QCAP provides tax preparation training for free. We serve a linguistically diverse community, so second language skills are not required but very welcome! Volunteer Training begins in late December/early January. Tax services will run from January 30, 2023 to April 15, 2023. We ask for a commitment of at least 3 hours a week during tax season.
