Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services in Dutchess County (Poughkeepsie, NY) is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator.
The Volunteer Coordinator would be in charge of seeking volunteers that would like to volunteer in the different positions available (Conversation Partners - ESL Tutors, Civics Tutors, Translation, Legal Assistant, Citizenship Class Assistant and Outreach) in our office in Dutchess County (All volunteer positions are currently remote).
The Volunteer Coordinator would be in charge of interviewing possible volunteer candidates, help volunteer candidates fill out the application and ensure that Conversation Partners and Civics Tutors complete their required training.
The Volunteer Coordinator will also pair the Conversation Partners and/or Civics Tutors to the client who are seeking those services from us.
The Volunteer Coodinator will follow up weekly with the volunteers to see if they have any questions, concerns or needs that they would like to be addressed.
The Volunteer Coordinator will track the hours that volunteers work in our program.
The Volunteer Coordinator will also assist on planning activities that will recognize the hard work that volunteers do for our program.
This position is currently fully remote.

  • Green card replacement
