The Center for Economic Development
Location: Tampa
The Center for Economic Development combats the deterioration of the community by assisting residents in developing and growing small businesses and supporting decent affordable housing They also provide training and workshops Through volunteer support they are creating an environment where companies will want to locate within the community and residents will have the resources they need to improve the quality of their lives.
Volunteer Needs: Participate in Community clean-ups, light maintenance of seniors homes, administrative support and education for various topics
Health Hospital
Location: Tampa
Every hour you donate, every smile you give, and every conversation you share can change a life Consider becoming a hospital volunteer in Tampa and donating your time, talents, and generous spirit The application process can take four weeks or longer, includes background check, drug test, TB tests, and immunization records review.
Volunteer Needs:Greeters, hosting and administrative support. NICU cuddlers.

A nonprofit retreat house, In the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, they welcome everyone who seeks spiritual growth through a deeper relationship with God in a place of peace, community, healing and joy. Volunteer Needs:Care of Peace Garden and Butterfly Garden, front desk attendant, grounds maintenance, office assistance, and kitchen help during retreats.

Volunteer Needs: Office Assistance: Call Center and Data Entry; Teacher’s Assistance: Assisting the teacher with lessons Copying and printing lessons Grading Papers Maintains accurate records and data entry Tutoring; Event Volunteer: Event volunteers assist on the event day for set-up, guest assistance and registration or clean up. Volunteers may also choose to be involved in event planning. 3 hour commitment per event

Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay provides solutions to community challenges by engaging volunteers aged 55+
Description
Programs Offered Through Seniors in Service:
Foster Grandparent Program (FGP)
- The Foster Grandparent Program recruits senior volunteers (55+) to go into schools and after-school programs to mentor at-risk and special needs children and provide them with one-on-one, individualized attention
Senior Companion Program (SCP)
- The Senior Companion Program recruits senior volunteers (55+) to go into the homes of homebound, elderly clients and provide them with companionship and assistance.
Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
- The RSVP Program recruits senior volunteers(55+) to participate more fully in the life of the community through volunteer service. The program matches the considerable wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience of this vital and rapidly growing age group with the addressing of critical needs and unresolved issues in our community.
Operation Veteran Connect
- Provides companionship to veterans, enabling them to live independently. Supports the VA in supporting providing Whole Health support to veterans.
