This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to help out our organization, the community and of course our horses and students!
We are a Therapeutic Horseback Riding and Horsemanship Program located in Ulster & Orange Counties. We offer many programs to special needs adults and children. We cannot operate without funding from our generous donors in the community.
We are looking for Volunteers who are willing to do community outreach to local businesses, friends, family, etc.. This is a virtual position and all work can be done from the comfort of home!
The Volunteer has one role which is:
- To engage and solicit our database of former and potential donors while keeping the Executive Director informed of their progress.
We perform our community outreach through e-mail, telephone, in person and social media. If you are willing to help support our mission and enjoy horses and working from home then this opportunity id for YOU!

Description
We are a Therapeutic Horsemanship Program located at Ivy Rock Farms in New Windsor, NY. Our Mission is to improve the quality of life and cultivate human potential through equine facilitated therapies and recreation. What that means for us is providing children and adults of all abilities, challenges and hardships low cost or free therapeutic horseback riding lessons and therapeutic horsemanship programs.
We see firsthand how the effects of being around horses in a safe and caring environment can change the lives of individuals with certain challenges in life. We wish to extend this opportunity to each and every person in need. We not only provide hope and happiness to our riders, but Making Strides inspires our Volunteers as well!
Our volunteers are a critical part in meeting the goals and needs of our riders.
Making Strides would not be able to operate without a dedicated group of people in the community willing to donate their time. We hope you will take the opportunity to see all we have to offer!
