Ensure IW is run legally & ethically and Board follows good governance practices and discharges its fiduciary duties
Oversee matters of legal, regulatory and statutory compliance & audit for IW including the creation and maintenance of statutory by-laws. Maintain accurate documentation and meet legal requirements - meet deadlines for filings, notifications, etcReview and update documents as necessary and ensuring all documents are safely stored and readily accessible for inspection by directors and/or members or by regulatory authorities (e.g., NP exemption certificate)
Hold the requisite number of Board meetings each year. Manage Board proceedings - give proper notice of any meetings and timely distribution of materials such as agendas and notes, and prepare for questions, especially on matters involving voting. Record/circulate meeting minutes - minutes need to filed in chronology on key information and decisions - board actions, elections of officers or directors, and certain reports from committees and staff.Maintain communication between board, management, and other members, if any
Knowledge of the organization's records and related materials. Working knowledge of statutory requirements for 501 (1) c (3) organizations. Understanding and experience in minuting meetings which serve as vital legal documentation for IRS purposes and in court in case of any challenges. Able to provide advice and resources to the board on relevant topics at issue, such as particular governance matters being addressed at a meeting or a new amendment to state corporate law, for example.

Description
We train differently abled youth in vocational skills based on their interests and abilities. From our humble beginnings in 2012 with one training program, we
now offer multiple streams of vocational training programs and job placement services to differently abled youth.
