We are planning now for the 2023-2024 academic year and look forward to partnering with high schools and colleges to participate in the International Humanitarian Law Youth Action Campaign. Thank you in advance for your school’s consideration and for exploring youth volunteer service opportunities with the American Red Cross.
The American Red Cross’s International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Youth Action Campaign empowers youth and young adults, ages ( ages 13-24) to learn about international humanitarian law-the body of law that governs armed conflict. Young people volunteer to educate the American public on IHL by exploring topics with their communities through peer-to-peer education campaigns. Youth teams participate in an IHL training, during which they learn how to build their own educational campaigns and conduct in-person and social media activities to promote awareness around IHL.

Red Cross youth applicants, ages 13-17, will need to complete the volunteer application with their parent/guardian, granting permission to volunteer and can be completed electronically.
Thank you for sharing Red Cross youth volunteer opportunities for summer 2023 and the upcoming school year. We hope you will join us for the Virtual Volunteer Information Session to learn more and invite your colleagues, students, and parents.
