Foster Care Project’s Adopt a Child Abuse Caseworker Program will be assisting our three "adopted" DCFS caseworkers to ensure that children and youth on their caseloads are remembered at Christmas. If you would like to provide a tangible gift or gift card, consider the suggestions below or come up with your own ideas. Note: please leave gifts unwrapped or place them in gift bags, so the caseworkers can see each item and match it to a particular child. Donation on or before December 13 is requested , so our caseworkers can make timely deliveries. Toddlers and Preschoolers: Imaginary play items, such as small play people or animals; tea sets; pretend food and kitchen items; portable dollhouses or garages; puzzles, and games, such as Candyland; building blocks; baby dolls; big trucks; soft balls and other soft toys School age kids: Lego sets; puzzles & games, such as Yahtzee, Clue, Jenga, Uno and Apples to Apples; cars, trucks, and Hot Wheels sets; arts & crafts; and activity sets. Teens and young adults: Puzzles & games, such as Bananagrams, Upwords and Big Boggle; sports magazines; sketchbooks and art supplies; hair accessories; simple jewelry; journals; Starbucks gift cards and reusable coffee cups; Target gift cards so they can select something fun.
