We need more people willing to transport newly arrived refugees to local appointments on short notice!
Being a transport volunteer means that you will drive singles and families to important appointments, including health check-ups, grocery runs, school drop-offs, and more . Transports vary in nature and location . In a typical volunteering scenario, I would reach out to you with the who, what, and where of the transport need, then keep in touch by phone should you need more details . It's a great opportunity for people who enjoy the spontaneous nature of resettlement work to get to know some of these families.
Please reach out if you have the availability and interest to take on this role! People with larger vans (for transporting families) or any language background in Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Arabic, or a related language are especially encouraged to respond.
