We are looking for volunteers to contribute to our SFAR social media presence. This important role helps us share a wide range of animal rescues posts, call to action posts and a whole range of other topics!
- Co-ownership (with team) of all social platforms including Facebook, and Instagram.
- Creating and posting content to the above-mentioned channels
- Responding to audience inquiries on all channels
- Developing ways to increase followers on all channels
- Developing engaging, informative and FUN content to promote SFAR
- Cross team collaboration
- Work with the other volunteers to gather information and photos/video to prepare content for posts
- Work with fundraising, writers, marketing and other various cross team content posts
- Onsite Activities **Please note the below items are not required and if agreed upon will follow social distancing and healthcare guidelines
- Attend SFAR scheduled events to get photos/content for posts
- Graphic design (Canva, etc.)

Our mission is to provide refuge for senior animals and animals needing hospice care. We aim to provide education, assistance and support to the public to help people better understand and care for their companion animals. We do more than just rescue, we DRIVE change.
Description
Strawberry Fields Animal Rescue Illinois is a registered 501(c)(3) senior animal rescue serving the Chicagoland area. Senior animals in shelters are most at risk for euthanasia and are often times overlooked. At SFAR we believe all senior animals deserve to live out the rest of their lives in comfort and peace. After two years of hard work and dedication the board of directors came together and the rescue started to take off. SFAR is 100% foster based. SFAR not only rescues senior animals but also strives to educate the public about animal welfare and animal health. We believe rescue and education go hand in hand. SFAR would not function without the help of volunteers. We are still a young organization and are still building our organizational capacity. We are working hard to build a volunteer network so that we have the ability to save more animals. As we grow, we need people like you - who can help illustrate the work that we do each day and can highlight the impact that we have on the animals and the overall community. We need you. We need your brilliance, your drive, your expertise and your passion. It goes without saying that your support in this role would help build the foundation we need to reach new programmatic heights.
