The need for quality, affordable, and low-cost mental healthcare is at an all-time high. Social isolation, stress, suicide, substance abuse, police brutality, social injustice, trauma, jobs, and income loss, as well as the fear of sickness and death, has increased the stress experienced on a daily basis.

Now more than ever people need to be heard and seen. With stigmatization and barriers to adequate, quality, and affordable healthcare services, we are seeing an increase in substance use, suicide, and overall loss of hope. In order to make mental healthcare affordable and attainable for all, it is important to utilize our community resources and partnerships.

When struggling with life challenges many people turn to religious affiliations such as temples, churches, synagogues, or the masjid for spiritual help and guidance. We must partner with the's organizations as well other community organizations where people often turn during difficult times such as homeless or abuse shelters, food banks, and community centers in order to reach the mental health needs of our community.

Additionally, as a not-for-profit organization, we depend on these partnerships as well as other community resources for donations of their time, skills, space, or funding. To that end, we are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and professional Community Relations Partner (CRP) to research and identify organizations with which we can partner with. This job will consist of "googling" organizations and agencies within our vicinity, identifying and communicating with the contact person for the organization, researching universities and colleges nationwide that have grant writing programs and looking to partner with organizations in need of their services, and researching universities and colleges that offer Master level degree programs in Social Work and Counseling, and are looking to place intern or practicum students. These are only a few of the responsibilities required for this position. The CRP must be passionate about mental health, motivated, and a self-starter.
