ORGANIZATION: BUILD

BE A MENTOR. CHANGE A LIFE!

Did you know that 8,300 students drop out of high school each day? Of those that drop out, 47% blame boredom and a lack of motivation for their decision. And 70% believe that they could have graduated with the right push.

WHAT CAN YOU DO? Ignite the spark by becoming a BUILD mentor by sharing your wisdom, experience, and expertise to impact the lives of high school students in under-resourced communities. As a BUILD mentor you will help students create, market, and manage a business and equip them with the skills they need to not only graduate high school but go on to post secondary success.

OUR MISSION

BUILD is currently supporting six OUSD and SUHSD schools with the delivery of our business and entrepreneurship curriculum. Throughout the school year students will learn design thinking, form business teams, and develop an advanced prototype of a product to sell! BUILD is recruiting volunteer business team mentors to support students as they form their business teams beginning in March 2023.
