RDA is currently planning its annual RISE program, and we’re looking for volunteers like you.
Every January for the past five years, RDA has hosted RISE, which stands for Reading Inspirational Stories to Empower. During the week following Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Rosedale volunteers sign up to read stories about the Civil Rights Movement and social justice issues to local elementary and middle school students.
All are invited to join us for this special event. Volunteer sessions last for as little as 30 minutes, but make a lasting impression through stories and discussions.
To get involved, RSVP for our RISE volunteer orientation at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11 at 1401 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, KS.
To learn more or sign up to volunteer, contact Juanise Oliver at 816-343-4010 or email juanise@rosedale.org.
