About Unity Theatre Collective

Location:

Ventura, Ventura, CA 93004, US

Mission Statement

The Unity Theatre Collective strives to provide an open door for every person to experience performance pieces that promote social change and inspire insight and empathy.

Description

From its inception in 2018, the Unity Theatre Collective has produced inclusive and creative theatrical productions. Over the course of the pandemic, we have moved our programming onto virtual platforms, providing a welcoming performance space for creatives across the nation. As we move back into in-person performances, we intend to bring more representative and inclusive shows to Ventura County.

Our Youth Education Program has been rapidly expanding. We teach classes and camps for the youth of Ventura, students at Title I schools in Ventura, the youth of Thousand Oaks, and the Homeschool Community. When our programs were virtual, we taught a 10-week workshop for children 7-12 years of age. The students wrote their own show and performed it over zoom.

As our adult and youth programs expand, we would love to expand other facets of our organization such as our Grants and Marketing departments.
