Dari interpreters needed

ORGANIZATION: BETHANY CHRISTIAN SERVICES INC

Given the recent fall of the Afghan government, the rapid evacuation in August, and the ongoing humanitarian need in Afghanistan, Bethany Christian Services has begun taking placements of unaccompanied Afghan minors. The Afghan minors are transported here from refugee centers overseas and arrive in our program to receive case management, mental health, medical, and educational services each day. The goal of our program is typically reunification with family; however, given the present danger in Afghanistan, these minors will likely seek unaccompanied refugee status in the US, which will allow them to help their families to seek refuge in the US in the future.

We are in need of Dari interpreters to help assist in the translation of documents as well as interpretation services during classes, therapy and case management sessions, and in the minors' foster home(s).

Given the language barrier, this has been a difficult transition for the minors as well as staff and foster parents who are providing these services--cultural support would also be greatly appreciated.
