About EVAS VILLAGE INC

Location:

393 MAIN ST, PATERSON, NJ 07501, US

Mission Statement

For nearly 40 years, Eva's Village has been a leader on the implementation and best practices for services designed to ensure that community members experiencing poverty, food and housing insecurity, underlying issues with substance use and mental health disorders, and unemployment, are given the tools they need to overcome these barriers to healthy, stable, and financially secure lives.

Description

Our organization was founded in 1982 as a simple soup kitchen to offer neighbors experiencing food and housing insecurity the kindness of a meal shared with dignity. Eva's has progressed to providing help and hope to more than 5,000 people annually through our integrated anti-poverty programs. We operate interconnected services, offering food security, shelter and access to supportive housing, treatment for underlying issues with substance use, mental and medical health disorders, childcare to mothers in our treatment program, workforce development, culinary career training and job placement, peer connections to substance use treatment to emergency room patients, and ongoing support in our Recovery Community Center.
