CATHOLIC CHARITIES INDIANAPOLIS INC

Our agency is providing Citizenship and English language classes to immigrants who are refugees or asylees and seeking to become US citizens. Volunteers can assist help program participants in one of two ways: provide small-group classroom instruction using the established curriculum or provide one-on-one tutoring to participants in need of additional individualized support. Classroom instruction will be provided in-person with social distance. One-on-one tutoring can be done virtually or in-person.

Catholic Charities Indianapolis was founded in 1919 to serve the poor and hurting of the Indianapolis community. Our programs provide quality services in counseling, child, youth and family support, eldercare, emergency and specialized services, and pregnancy and adoption services.

In 2019-20, Catholic Charities Indianapolis programs served over 69,000people. Among those served, the majority are women and children, who live below the federal poverty level. Through the generosity of our donors and volunteers we can provide quality services to more individuals and families in need.
