We are looking for experienced fundraisers and grant writers for our rescue organization. The Raptor Center of Tampa Bay rescues over 1000 animals a year, specializing in Birds of Prey (Eagles, Hawks, Falcons, Kites, Vultures, etc)
There are so many opportunities out there to raise funds by scheduling live and on-line events and campaigns as well as grants to write and apply for!! Our licensed rehabber is on the front line of rescuing and caring for the wildlife that comes in to the center and does not have time to sit down and research available grants or programs. We really need a few dedicated and experienced people that can work on fundraising and grant writing for the organization. We are trying to find large corporate donors & sponsors, and we are looking for property to build the rehab center.
Are you the advocate we have been looking for?

We are always looking for more rescuers, transporters, cleaners, and helpers too!!

Mission Statement

The Raptor Center of Tampa Bay's mission is to rescue, raise, rehabilitate and release wild native birds of prey, to provide transportation and facilitate solutions for non-bird of prey species; deploy rapid response teams to treat and transport to the best facility for the species; host environmental; nature education teaching events for the general public, including children’s programs; and work in conjunction with utility companies and other corporations to provide solutions for avian conflicts to reduce mortality.

Description

The Raptor Center of Tampa Bay is a non-profit organization that is building a wildlife rehabilitation facility with a focus on birds of prey where we can rescue, treat, and rehabilitate them with a goal of release back into the wild. We provide teaching and guidance to the general public about conservation issues and increase public awareness of wildlife. We are volunteers, a state and federally permitted rehabber, educators and conservation advocates. We are building a raptor rehabilitation facility to serve injured and sick birds of prey found in our area. The main goal of our rescue efforts is to get the proper medical care and treatment needed for native Florida wild birds. With the help of good Samaritans who find birds and then find us, local law officials and our volunteers, The Raptor Center of Tampa Bay helps rescue over 600 birds annually. Upon rescue each bird is given a full examination to best determine its best course of treatment. We work with a variety of veterinarians and partner rehabilitators in the area. We try to respond to most calls within an hour. We are 100% dependent on volunteers, we strive to respond quickly and professionally. Our vets are not on site so the birds have to be transported to and from the vets. In many cases the best place for care can be well over 100 miles away from us. Support our cause to build the Raptor Center of Tampa Bay to rehabilitate our local birds, locally.
