Polk County Extension Services' 4H program is hosting the District Day Events and is seeking volunteers to serve as judges. Judges will listen to youth giving an illustrated talk or demonstration from specific categories such as animal sciences, healthy lifestyles, environmental education, and science or performing arts presentations. Each judge will see between 8 and 13 speeches or performances, depending on the room assignment.
The UF/IFAS Extension Polk County is a publicly-supported educational program to provide research based educational and leadership programs in 4-H Youth Development, Commercial Citrus, Community Development, Community and School Gardens, Environmental Horticulture Production, Florida Friendly Landscaping, Livestock and Forages, Master Gardener Program, Natural Resources and Conservation, Nutrition and Healthy Living, Pesticide Applicator Training, Residential Horticulture, Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises.
