ReStore Sales Floor Reset
About the ReStore: The Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity ReStore serves as a fundraising enterprise to support Habitat’s mission of providing affordable homeownership opportunities to Fort Collins families. The ReStore accomplishes this by accepting donations from the community of furniture, appliances, building materials, vehicles, and more to be resold to the general public. Staff and volunteers are integral to the success of the store and have the opportunity to interact with customers, donors, volunteers, and supporters from around the community. Every interaction can help to further Habitat’s mission and make HOME possible! Our guiding values for the ReStore are Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, and Continuous Improvement.
About the project: The ReStore is having several renovation projects that will involve moving product around or off the sales floor. Volunteers who help with the sales floor reset will be moving product back to their original places in time for the store to re-open. Dates where product will need to be moved back include:
Tuesday, December 7
Tuesday, December 14
Monday, January 3
*Please note: Start time will be at 9 am. End time will depend on the number of volunteers registered. Volunteers coming 12/7 and 12/14 should plan for about an hour and a half. Volunteers registered on 1/3/22 should plan on 9 am-3 pm, although they may end earlier.
We are looking for volunteers who:
- Can lift up to 40 pounds.
- Enjoy moving and organizing.
- Have a passion and excitement for the ReStore.
What to bring: Volunteers should bring a reusable water bottle and any snacks or food they may want during their shift. Work gloves are available; however, volunteers are welcome to bring their own. Lockers are also available on site for storage of personal items.
What to wear: All volunteers must wear closed toe shoes, and they should plan to wear comfortable clothes they don’t mind getting dirty.
COVID-19 Protocols: In accordance with CDC guidelines/recommendations, masks are required for all volunteers working indoors.

Seeking to put God's love into action, Fort Collins Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity partners with local families to provide affordable homeownership opportunities. Families go through an application process to be selected and qualify by income, ability to pay a mortgage, residency, and willingness to partner. Once selected, families complete sweat equity by attending educational classes about homeownership and by building their home onsite alongside staff and volunteers.
The ReStore is another component of the organization. It serves as a fundraising enterprise to support Habitat' mission of providing affordable homeownership opportunities to local families. The ReStore operates as a thrift store that accepts donations from the community and sells them back at a lower cost.
