Community service hours provide a personal touch to families in need and allow our patients to get the best care possible. Kaiser Hospice/Home Care of Orange County serves patients in the home setting

Hospice Volunteers provide specific services of companionship and care giver respite of a non-hands-on nature. This opportunity allows the volunteer to visit with the patient while providing the caregiver/family member a few hours of caregiver respite. Activities may include; reading to patients, offering listening skills, listening to music, puzzles etc.

Home visitation might interest those who may be considering a career in the medical field and desire experience with patients while offering kindness and companionship in the home of a Hospice patient. Volunteers must be age 18 or over to visit with patients and must meet all qualifications. If accepted, they may offer weekly visits to our home bound patients, providing respite for the family members of hospice patients on a weekly regularly schedule basis. We serve the entire Riverside County Area but volunteers will be placed with patients nearest their home city.

All Volunteers must complete background check, receive health screening and clearance, which will be provided by Kaiser (no-expense to the volunteer) and proceed through our training program prior beginning their volunteer service.
