Coach - Virtual Cheer Team

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Friends of MJHS

Committed individual needed to join our coaching team as a virtual cheer team coach. You will work with our new cheerleading team which currently serves girls ages 9-15. The team is very small, but is often invited to high profile events - so energy and patience with a group of "beginners" is a must. You will be partnered with other seasoned cheerleading coaches who support the team.

The team meets on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm in Manhattan (NYC) and their season runs until June.

We are looking for virtual coaches to conduct a one hour class via Zoom on any night during the week (6pm or 7pm start). This will serve as "extra" practice time for the team. You will be asked to teach the team cheer routines and the "in-person" coaches will reinforce what you teach on Saturdays. You would be asked to download the BAND app, which is where we upload choreography/cheers for the team to study in between practices. The goal is to give the girls as many cheers as possible to put in their "toolbox" and to give them extra time to be engaged with cheer during the week.

Fairly recent experience as a cheerleader is required.

Interested parties are asked to share a little about their experience when they apply. No phone calls please.
