Coach - Virtual Step Team

Committed individual needed to join our coaching team as a virtual step team coach. You will work with our new step team which currently serves ages 12-18. The team is often invited to high profile events - so energy and patience with a group of "beginners" is a must. You will be partnered with other seasoned step team coaches who support the team during in person practices and steppers will come from both our New Jersey and New York City Teams.
We are looking for virtual coaches to conduct a one-hour class via Zoom on any night during the week (6pm or 7pm start). If you choose a Thursday or Friday, practice will have to be begin at 6pm. This will serve as "extra" practice time for the team. You will be asked to choreograph your own routines to teach the team and the "in-person" coaches will reinforce what you teach when they meet the team on Saturdays. You would be asked to download the BAND app, which is where we upload choreography for the team to study in between practices.
Experience as a stepper in school, church, community organizations or fraternal organizations is required.

Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
