Committed individual needed to coach our new hip-hop majorette dance team, serving girls 12-15. The team is very small, but is often invited to high profile events - so energy and patience with a group of "beginners" is a must. You will be partnered with another seasoned majorette coach.
The team meets on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm in Newark and their season runs until June.
Majorette experience is not critical, but hip-hop dance experience and the ability to create complex choreography is essential. A sense of humor is important.
Interested parties are asked to share a little about their experience when they apply. No phone calls please.

Description
Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
