In this opportunity, you will be paired directly with an individual Afghan woman to help advocate for her case. We are in touch with some individuals who worked with the UN or US military and should qualify for asylum, but their cases are not progressing without an advocate.

We are also in touch with other women who may not be able to receive asylum, but who need remote work opportunities.

Volunteers will receive training on simple ways to move a case forward by contacting state dept or congressional staffers, and also helping the women to tell their stories in forums and groups. You will work directly with the individuals who are still in Afghanistan. Your work may save someone's life!

The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
