Step’s Foundation Inc’s mission is to connect members of the local community to both valuable resources, and most importantly, each other through the administration of community workshops, support groups, career support services, and other social services. With a focus on youth development, youth leadership, family engagement, and family empowerment, Step’s Foundation, Inc aims to lay a foundation of continued support for the whole community to grow together.

While our Board of Directors does have virtual board meetings, we do have a lot of in-person engagements. We're certainly looking for people in the Central Florida area to be a part of our team, but definitely not a deal breaker!

We certainly want to speak with you:
  • If you have a background in mental health or psychology
  • If you are well-versed in nonprofit fundraising and financials
  • If you are involved with youth and family advocacy
  • if you love community outreach projects
  • If you are an educator and enjoy making a difference in the lives of students
  • If you have a background in juvenile detention

Functions

Steps Foundation, Inc’s Board of Directors is responsible for defining and upholding the organization’s mission, vision, and values, and for providing overall leadership and strategic direction to the organization. In addition to setting policies and maintaining the nonprofit’s overall direction, the board establishes priorities, crafts strategies, and ensures that plans and programs are implemented. Board members are also involved in Step’s Foundation Inc’s fundraising efforts, spreading the word about our good work and using their connections to gain access to potential donors, actively participating in fundraising campaigns, and making their own personal donations.

What Happens Next

  • Phase 1
    • You will receive a board member interest application
    • After we receive your application you will receive an introductory call within 24-48 hours
