Umano’s mission is to support initiatives that foster holistic empathy for humans, animals, and the environment. We achieve our mission by providing funding and training to help changemakers build holistically empathic initiatives that are financially resilient and impactful.
We are building our team of volunteer Project Mentors and Skills Coaches, who will provide guidance to the initiatives that we support, using our RISE framework to help the project increase their reach, measure their impact, build financial resiliency, and incorporate empathy-building into their programs. Project Mentors provide more broad-based strategic support, while Skills Coaches are subject-matter experts (such as social media advice). You can see the projects we currently work with on our website, but we we're just getting started!
Volunteers will be matched with projects based on interests and skills needed, and communication with project leaders will be done online over Zoom and email.
