The season of growth is upon us! As we head into the spring months, the American Red Cross is working with communities across the nation to "grow" the disaster workforce to prepare for the upcoming hurricane and wildfire seasons. Join your neighbors in becoming a trained volunteer to support communities impacted by severe weather.
We are actively recruiting and scheduling training for the following critical volunteer role(s):
- Disaster Action Team: Respond to local disasters, such as home fires, to ensure that those affected have access to resources for necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing.
- Recovery Client Care Program Service Associate: Support disaster-caused needs of individuals and families with casework and recovery planning by matching Red Cross and community resources and assistance to these needs.
- Shelter Service Associate: Support the day-to-day activities within a shelter. This may include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information, or other areas within a shelter.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age with a valid drivers license.
Comfort with computers/tablets is necessary
