Tutor - Youth Driven by Purpose

Youth Driven by Purpose is seeking volunteer tutors to assist students with homework and other assignments. Tutors get to choose which subjects, reading or math, they are comfortable with and students will be matched accordingly. While retired educators and education majors are welcome, professional training/education is not a requirement. Also a great assignment for adults whose employers provide paid leave time to volunteer to assist students.

The mission at Youth Driven by Purpose, Inc. is to provide at-risk teens and young adults with programs that are aimed to improve their spirituality, education, and cooperativeness through successful programs, advocacy, mentoring, and community-based connections.

Main Assignment Responsibilities

• Assist students in reading or math homework/assignments
• Help students grasp challenging concepts or develop their skills

Time/Availability

• This assignment is specifically seeking availability on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 4pm to 6:30pm
• Scheduling will be discussed at the time of the interview

Screenings

• Pass all applicable screenings
