PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) is a charity NGO operating in Fort Portal City, Kabarole district, Rwenzori region of Western Uganda. www.platformfortheneedy.org
We advocate for the rights of vulnerable children, youth and women and our focus areas are Health, education for needy children and orphans, youth and women empowerment, livelihoods, Gender Based Violence, and Domestic Violence mitigation, awareness campaigns on general health, Reproductive Health and Sexual Reproductive Health Services, water, sanitation and hygiene.
PLANE is seeking for Community Fundraising Volunteers who will help the organization in the following roles:
-Planning and Organizing fundraising events of your choice within the local community
- Recruit/ encourage local and global volunteers to join the organization
-Encourage your family, relatives, workmates and community members to join the team
-Sharing your ideas and successes to inspire other community fundraising members
-Design the marketing marketing materials such as posters and fliers to market and promote the events on social media.
-Share our campaign links to global networks and social media platforms
-Work with the recruited ambassadors and volunteers to engage community organizations and institutions such as schools, churches, hospitals among others.
Report making to the ED and donors on the funds received and impact created.

PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) is a charity Non Governmental Organization registered , protecting and promoting the rights of rights of children, youth and women. PLANE operates in Fort Portal City ,Kabarole district, Rwenzori region of Western Uganda . It aims at undertaking collective action for promotion of general health and reproductive health awareness campaigns on Family Planning, HIV/AIDS, Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV),Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHT) and access for social and health services.
Our focus areas include social security, education for needy and orphan children, health, youth and Women Empowerment, Livelihood, Human Rights , Water, Sanitation and hygiene and Environment conservation and protection.
In 2018, PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) scoped an award from Kabarole District Local Government for out outstanding performance in creating awareness using radio drama and community outreaches to fight Domestic Violence and controlling Malaria infections in the district. This project was implemented in communities and schools in the districts of Kabarole and Bunyangabu. We have also taken a lead in the region in mobilizing resources and launching campaigns for sick people with Heart diseases and multiple organ failures who seek funding for treatment.

  • The opportunity is remote and flexible. We ask you that you organize atleast 2 events a year. Effective communication and marketing skills are required.
