We currently have several positions open:

Client Services Specialist (PT)- Part-time position that is responsible for providing telephone crisis intervention, screen potential clients for appropriate services and/or referrals. This position is key in ensuring the safety and security of the emergency shelter and its residents.

Shelter Cook (FT)- The Cook is responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals for Shelter clients. Must maintain and purchase food and supplies following the Texas Department of Agriculture and Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) standards.

Director of Accounting and Administration (FT) - Responsible for the effective organization and operation of the agency’s accounting and administrative functions. Examines, analyzes, and interprets accounting data, records, and reports to advise management on financial management matters.

Crisis Services Coordinator (FT) - Provide advocacy and crisis intervention services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Coordinate and respond to crisis hotline callers, including deployment of staff and volunteers for hospital accompaniment to victims of sexual assault.

Child Advocate (FT) - Responsible for developing, planning, and implementing age-appropriate services to include programs, activities, and a counseling plan for children of the shelter and family resource center. Responsible for coordinating recreational and social activities for children of the shelter and family resource center in conjunction with the Child Development Specialists.
