Lan Su Guide
Lan Su Guides are the docents of the garden and the story tellers of Lan Su. They help visitors fully experience the history, the energy, and the quality of this oasis of tranquil beauty and culture. The role of a Lan Su Guide is to inspire, engage, and educate the garden's global visitors. Class 2022 of Lan Su Guides are required to go through 5 weekly trainings to be certified and ready to lead tours during the garden's celebration of Chinese New Year 2022.

Lan Su Chinese Garden is one of Portland's treasures - a powerfully inspiring experience that takes you through time, offering a window into Chinese culture, history, and way of thinking. Opened in 2000, Lan Su is an authentic Suzhou-style classical Chinese garden with over 300 species of Chinese cultivar plants. Architecture, stone, water, and poetry complete the garden. Built with materials directly from China by Chinese garden designers and artisans, it is an oasis of nature and tranquility in the midst of the city. Lan Su is open 7 days a week for visitors to enjoy. Join our volunteer team committed to creating memorable experiences for our visitors.
