A trained volunteer may provide companionship and services such as running errands, reading, releieving caregiver both in the home or in a facility.


Kindred Hospice affirms the concept of palliative care as an intensive program that enhances comfort and promotes the quality of life for individuals and famillies. Hospice does not shorten or prolong life. Hospice focuses on comfort not on curing an illness. When a cure is no longer possible, hospice recognizes that a peaceful and comfortable death becomes the essential goal of healthcare. Hospice recognizes that death is in integral part of the life cycleand that intensive palliative care focus of pain relief, comfort, and enhanced quality of life as appropriate goals for the terminally ill.

  • We request that Volunteers be able to provide at least 1 hour per week however this is subject to change due to volunteers availability.
  • We are interested in recruiting individuals who are willing to give of their time, talents and heart in support of hospice patients and their famililies.
