Mission Statement
- To identify dogs in need of sanctuary care. - To transport dogs to The Dane Farm Great Dane Sanctuary. - To provide veterinary care, food and living quarters for sanctuary dogs until they die. - To educate the public on the needs and unique qualities of Great Dane dogs. - The rescue's mission statement is to provide a safe place for owners to surrender their Great Danes when they can no longer keep them, find them a temporary foster home, access their behavior and personality, then match them up to a new forever home looking to adopt a Great Dane.
Description
The GD Sanctuary is a part of the Great Dane Rescue of MN & WI. We are a physical sanctuary for unadoptable Great Danes whose only other option is euthanasia. We take Danes with medical problems, senior Danes and those with behavior issues. We have paid, experienced kennel staff at the sanctuary and the rescue is run strictly on a volunteer basis. Our monthly expenses run about $9k per month and our only income is based on donations, grants, and rescue adoption fees. We realize that to stay front and center in potential donors minds, we must have a branded presence on social media. We also have a Patreon account which we have not kicked off yet. We need someone knowledgeable in: Instagram, TikTok, Patreon, Facebook and Twitter.
