Computer students

Manos de Cristo, a non-profit organization that offers basic computer classes to students in Austin, TX, is in need of volunteers to teach basic computer skills in Spanish. Manos is dedicated to empowering members of our community through educational programs, food and clothing programs, and our low-cost dental clinic.

We are currently looking for dedicated volunteers to commit to teaching a computer class, bilingual or in Spanish, once or twice a week, from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Classes will begin January 23/24 and run through May 10/11, 2022.

As a note, Manos de Cristo is requiring a vaccination test for all in-person classes, students and teachers wear masks inside the building, and we take the temperature upon entering the building.

We provide classroom training and supplementary didactic material, including curriculum, syllabus and activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to practice the Spanish language, or for Spanish speakers who want to help the community.

Each semester, our volunteer teachers tell us that Manos is truly a unique and inspiring place, and we look forward to hearing from you! Please contact Maria Palacios at mpalacios@manosdecristo.org to volunteer.
