Manos de Cristo, a non-profit organization that offers basic computer classes to students in Austin, TX, is in need of volunteers to teach basic computer skills in Spanish or bilingual (English/Spanish). Manos is dedicated to empowering members of our community through educational programs, food and clothing programs, and our low-cost dental clinic.
We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to teach basic computer classes, bilingual or in Spanish, once or twice a week. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 AM or 7:00-9:00 PM. Classes will start on January 16/17 and will run until March 6/7, 2024.
We provide classroom training and supplementary didactic material, including curriculum, syllabus and activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to practice the Spanish language, or for bilingual speakers who want to help the community.
Each semester, our volunteer teachers tell us that Manos is truly a unique and inspiring place, and we look forward to hearing from you! Please contact Maria Palacios at mpalacios@manosdecristo.org to volunteer.
Manos de Cristo is a non-profit organization committed to empowering low-income people by promoting dignity and self-sufficiency. Visit our website: www.manosdecristo.org for more information.
