Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana

Camp CEO

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of girls? We seek Girl Scout volunteers and troop leaders with a passion for serving girls who need supportive adults in their lives. We're partnering with several residential foster care locatons in Chicago and need volunteers who can provide the caring and support these girls need.

We cannot share specific locations but we can share that the Girl Scout programming will be during afterschool hours, on weekdays.

If you have a background in education, social work, or counseling, we need you!

All Girl Scout volunteers must complete an application, register as members of Girl Scouts ($25/year, financial assistance available), and complete a criminal background check. Volunteers for this role must also be fully vaccinated and offer proof of their vaccination.

As a volunteer in these locations you will be making a positive difference in girls' lives, and helping us build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Won't you join us and share your time and talent?

About Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana

20 S. Clark St., Suite 200, Chicago, IL 60603, US

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
