PFLAG Winston-Salem is actively seeking to new board officers so that we can allow our current board members the opportunity to serve in other capacities. The following officer positions are available immediately:

President: With any organization, it is necessary to foster and grow new leadership. With new leadership, comes new ideas and a fresh perspective. The role of president is an important one for PFLAG. The President must lead the board, coordinate efforts with our National organization and other PFLAG chapters, ensure the stability and consistency of the organization, and foster the mission of PFLAG. We currently have a president that is ready to transition. The current president will work closely with the new president for a period of at least 6 months to ensure a smooth transition.

President-Elect: The president-elect/Vice President also helps the president lead the organization, and learns from the President so that a seamless transition can occur when it's time for the President to step down. The President-Elect must be able to do all of the things the President does in order to serve as a backup and to be able to take over as president when it's time. We do not currently have anyone serving in this capacity.

Secretary: The secretary must be organized, and have good communication skills. Skills in technology are definitely a plus in this role. The secretary helps maintain all vital records for PFLAG, takes meeting notes, follows up on action items, and coordinates business-related items to ensure bills are paid, tasks are completed, and the organization's records remain intact. We currently do not have anyone serving in this capacity.
