We have a need for a consistent volunteer that would like to volunteer on a more regular basis to oversee our food pantry. We get donations daily and when they come in they need to be sorted, etc. Produce comes in daily and the old produce needs to go in the composter, etc. This may take approximately 30 minutes a day, Monday through Friday.

Description
Make a Difference in Your Community!
CVAC is a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County.
CVAC provides education and opportunities for people of all ages to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. CVAC volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, hospitals, food pantries, and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. Our staff members work with agencies and organizations to offer individuals maximum flexibility and choice.
With CVAC you can either enroll as a Cornell Cooperative Extension volunteer to work directly with our programs, or sign you up as an affiliated volunteer and work with any number of partner agencies. In both cases, we match your interests to those of agencies needing your skills and talents.
