In collaboration with United Way of Central Florida and The George W. Jenkins End Hunger Initiative, Central Florida Health Care, Inc. is providing a week's work of food to local families in need. The distribution takes place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at Mulberry RCMA. Volunteers should arrive at 4:00 PM, distribution begins at 5:30 PM. We are in need of volunteers during the summer months, June through August. This is a great way to get your community service hours in. Please bring any paperwork necessary to document your hours. Volunteers will help prepare boxes of food for distribution and will be helping load the boxes in the cars as they come through the line. Some lifting involved.

A local citrus processing firm recognized the importance of adequate health care, social services and childcare for farmworkers in Frostproof, Florida. The first clinic opened in Polk County with a doctor and a nurse and began serving the Frostproof community.
