Mission Statement
To serve as the premier patient centered medical home offering quality, affordable primary and preventive healthcare.
Description
Central Florida Health Care (CFHC) was founded in 1972 in response to critical gaps in health care identified by the agricultural community. A local citrus processing firm recognized the importance of adequate health care, social services and childcare for farmworkers in Frostproof, Florida. The first clinic opened in Polk County with a doctor and a nurse and began serving the Frostproof community.
Being a premier healthcare provider, CFHC provides services to everyone and especially our most vulnerable populations in Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties. Our services include primary care for adults and pediatrics, dental care for adults and pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, behavioral health, and optometry. In addition, CFHC provides lab, x*ray and extensive pharmacy services at many of our locations. With 500 dedicated employees CFHC has a considerable impact not only on our community's health but on the economic well-being of many families.
At CFHC, we also strive to meet each patient with the compassion, dignity, respect and attention that every person is due, regardless of race, age, gender, illness, sexual orientation, religion, social, immigration status or ability to pay. At the core of all that we do is to provide every person an opportunity to experience HEALTHCARE WITH A HEART.
