Community Fitness Instructor
The Phoenix is looking for volunteer certified or experienced group fitness instructors to lead community-based fitness events for our sober active community. Group Fitness at The Phoenix includes a wide range of disciplines that share the intention of overall physical well-being in a shared community setting. These include, but are not limited to, Boxing, CrossFit, yoga, and many others. All our group fitness events are led by an instructor and are held in a group setting.
If you have a background in instructing group fitness classes, have experience in recovery, live a sober lifestyle, have a strong passion and commitment to social justice and mental health, and want to help your community, we want to hear from you!

The Phoenix’s mission is to build sober active community that fuels resilience and harnesses the transformational power of connection so that together we rise, recover and live.
The focus of the Phoenix programs is to build an active community for individuals who are recovering from substance abuse and those who choose to live a sober life. Since 2006, Phoenix has served over 26,000 individuals through 55+ weekly activities and overnight outings across the country. The new Austin chapter currently has 12 weekly activities and monthly special social events.
