We are currently looking for volunteers for our VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program for the 2022 Tax Filing Season. The 2022 Tax Filing Season is from January to April. Volunteer hours would be dependent on what you are available and willing to work (we work with you!). We do ask that you are available a minimum of 4 hours a week.
We are looking to fill these volunteer positions:
- Schedulers: to schedule tax appointments
- Greeters: to greet clients when they arrive for their tax appointment
- Tax Preparers: to prepare tax returns (all tax preparers become IRS Certified)

Our History:
Organized in 1975, Center For Siouxland has provided a wide and flexible range of human service programs to the Siouxland area in response to evolving community needs. We were formed as a grass-roots collaboration between the Iowa Department of Human Services, United Way of Siouxland, Area Agency on Aging, and YMCA and we continue today as an innovative 501 (c) 3 private non-profit agency.
Who We Serve:Our programs focus on families and individuals with low incomes, the disabled, seniors, and other high need populations. However, we serve anyone who has a need for our services.
