The Clinic Assistant Intern is responsible for assisting the physical, occupational, and speech therapists with therapy sessions as needed, clinic cleaning, sidewalking and non-clinical tasks in our outpatient pediatric setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following functions describe the essential duties of this role. Other additional
related duties may be assigned from time to time.
- Assist physical, occupational, and speech therapists with treatment.
- This many include the following: treatment preparation and/or clean up, hands on assistance during treatment sessions, or other related projects.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by keeping treatment areas organized and clean and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist with clinic supply purchasing, management and organization
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, conforming to HIPPA privacy regulations.
- Provide side walking during HPOT therapy sessions on an as needed basis.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.

TherAplay is a non-profit medical outpatient rehabilitation clinic for children with disabilities and/or unique needs. Our therapy team uses the horse as a treatment tool in our physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions.
