A Development (or, fundraising) role can be a wonderful experience for aspiring professionals interested in a variety of career paths. Some of the skill sets and areas of interest that can be applied in this role are communications, public relations, marketing, nonprofit management and philanthropy. We are interested in identifying someone that would like to work as an assistant to our Development Director to raise funding to support affordable, accessible and quality mental health care in our area. Some of the tasks that may be involved:
- Meetings with donors and prospective donors of the organization
- Entering and managing data related to development activities
- Communication with community stakeholders
- Building community awareness through email, events and newsletter campaigns

New Leaf Behavioral Health is a non-profit community mental health organization founded to create a comprehensive approach to help people make lasting, positive changes in their lives. It is our goal to ensure that people in our community have access to affordable and effective mental health services. New Leaf is committed to the goal of creating a supportive environment where people feel comfortable exploring personal issues and making positive changes.
Services and supports are designed to provide meaningful assistance to the individual in acquiring and maintaining physical, mental, and social skills, which enable the individual to reach their full potential. An emphasis on personal responsibility lays the foundation for individuals to work on identifying their core problems, developing a plan to reach goals, and facilitating change in their lives.
We offer individual, couples and family counseling, a wide range of groups and have psychiatry services for those who may benefit from medication. Additionally, we offer community initiatives to try to help increase public awareness to mental health issues and identify appropriate resources to find support.
