Reports to Amanda Goldsmith, Director of Development

Our Opportunity:

Winterfest is an annual event held each winter from November through December. Winterfest Membership Assistants support Gateway Arch Park Foundations development department by helping create a hospitable, informative, visitor-centered environment, and sharing the mission of Gateway Arch Park Foundation (GAPF). Volunteer roles:

  • Greet guests at the GAPF Membership Tent
  • Share the history, mission, and work of GAPF
  • Encourage guests to consider becoming a member of GAPF
  • Registering new members using the GAPF website and taking credit card information from guests

Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A desire to interact with the public and learn more about event planning
  • Enthusiasm, friendliness, and a positive attitude
  • Respect for confidentiality of the Gateway Arch Park Foundation’s volunteers, partners, members, and donors
  • Willingness to take initiative, and voice ideas

Requirements:

  • Submit to a background check
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to forty (40) pounds

Commitment:

The duration of the volunteer term is a 3-hour shift on November 20 th or December 11th.

Location:

Kiener Plaza is located at 500 Chestnut St., St. Louis, MO 63101. A volunteer table will be set up for you to check-in and receive instructions for the day.

Training and Supervision:

  • Volunteers may attend the orientation but are not required to for one-time events.
  • Training will be held in person on November 17 th or 18 th at 5:30 p.m. and on-the-job training will be provided at the start of your shift.

  • Free parking if needed during volunteer hours
