Connection Support Group Facilitator
NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Participants will gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by trained leaders who've been there.
This is an opportunity to become that trained leader - as co-facilitator for the Connection Recovery Support Groups in Lewis County.
Facilitators are required to complete the free 1 day training provided on a ZOOM app and use the Strategies, Structures, and Processes as written. Connection support group facilitators serve as volunteers; a small stipend is available. Membership in NAMI Lewis County is required. Your affiliate may be able to help with your mileage or other resources for the support group, by prior agreement between the facilitators and the affiliate.
Key personal attributes for Facilitators are reliability, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly. An ability to interpret group members’ non-verbal communication is important.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
