Works closely with Communications Manager to create engaging content for a company's social media presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and seeking out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences.

Social Media Assistant Job Duties:
  • Manages company social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms
  • Engages in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms
  • Creates dynamic written, graphic, and video content
  • Optimizes content following search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC)
  • Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Assists social media management with large projects, events, and community management
  • Works as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns
  • Analyses and reports audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects
  • Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • Works with marketing and social media team members to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
  • Writes and distributes e-newsletters to subscribers
  • Manages social media communications
  • Uses timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analyzing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits
Social Media Assistant Skills and Qualifications:

Marketing or Social Media Marketing Degree Preferred, Technology Skills, Content Writing, Graphic Design, Campaign Execution, Teamwork, Self-Motivation, Strong Communication Skills, Networking, Idea Presentation, SEO and PPC, Proofreading, Strong Customer-Service Skills, Enthusiasm, Detail-Oriented, Collaboration

MentorHer Ghana is a U.S. based 501(c)((3) charitable nonprofit organization that serves to provide Ghana’s daughters with support, resources, and creative thinking tactics while cultivating personal & professional skills to advance themselves, their community and the African Diaspora. Our goal is to prepare young Ghanaian girls to take part in the evolution of their country and to guide them with skills, resources, and creative thinking tactics that will prepare them for the abundance of opportunities that the country has to offer. In all cases, we believe that people that are native to the land should be able to control their own narratives while being an active part of its progress.


Since 2019 we have:
● Matched over 50 girls with personal mentors
● Developed STEM programming "SHE CODE Ghana" by
Emerging Ladies Academy
● Provided installation & fees for free wi-fi in the Kwahu
Community Center serving 3K local residents
● Installed modern A/V and tech equipment to the Kwahu
Community Center
● Provided all MHG high school girls w/books and supplies for
2021 school year
